Seems like just yesterday it was summer. Man, time is really flying by. But we're in November now, and you know what that means, don't you? It's Turkey Time! Yes, in just two short weeks we celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S. And we're talking turkey! And dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, deviled eggs, sweet potato casserole, rolls, broccoli salad, and maybe even some pecan and/or pumpkin pie for dessert. Speaking of turkeys, here's a photo of some that show up in my neighbor's yard on a daily basis. I swear the first time I saw them was on Thanksgiving Day a few years ago. (I've heard rumors that they aren't very smart ;)
Last Thanks giving I heard a strange noise on my roof and went outside and noticed a turkey had flown up on my roof and was prancing around (pretty weird, huh?). That had never happened before. Weirder yet was when I went to my brother's house later in the day, and a neighborhood turkey flew up on his house as we were driving into the driveway. Hey, what are the odds??
